Letter from our President

Hello LCATVA Members,
For those of you that do not know, my name is Paul Graham, and it is an honour to start working for you and together as the Lake Charlotte ATV Association as your newly appointed President. I can't wait to start working together with you as members to strive and aspire to make our Club or Association the "Best ATV Club in Nova Scotia".
As many of you know, I attended the ATVANS AGM this past weekend on behalf of our club. It was a great networking opportunity with ATVANS executive, Government Ministers, as well as other member club representatives. A PDF read only copy of the meeting will be forwarded to all of you in the near future, and I can make it available for review if requested.
It was also relayed to us at the meeting that the new mapping update for our club trail system by Corey and Eric, from ATVANS, should soon be uploaded to Polaris Ride Command for all ATVANS member use.
Polaris Ride Command is a FREE app for all which adds another layer of safety protection on the trails.  Polaris Ride Command - Apps on Google Play
Our Pilot project which allowed access to the West Ship Harbour Road to connect our trail system has been extended until December 2023.
I would also like to thank all of you for your membership to the club, and we would like to invite all MEMBERS to attend an Appreciation BBQ at our Club House on May 28th, 2022 to say thank you for all the effort put forth to ensure a workaround to overcome our trail closure was completed.
A special thank you to:
Corey Mitchell - Graded Edge Excavation
Sean Hurley - H&H Landscaping & Excavating
Kyle Bonn - Full Force Excavation
Dean Mitchell - Dean Mitchell (Privately donating)
And of course their crews - again, thank you from each one of us for making this possible.
And to Nick Picano of P&P Roofing - who graciously donated the wood stove to "Randy's Haven" ~ The Warming Shack this past winter. Again, your kindness and generosity did not go without notice.
The next LCATVA meeting will be held on the last Monday of the month, so May 30th, 2022 at 7:00 pm, and the location to be determined. Further information to follow.
I will post this information on the Facebook Page and via our club website for those who do not use Facebook.

Happy trails - and remember to pack it in and pack it out.
Paul Graham
